You can call me Katie. I am the girl behind the lens, the one who will be hyping you up from behind the camera.

My love for photography is twofold: I grew up watching my father carry his Nikon everywhere, sneaking candids of my mom laughing from across the room. I walked by his framed landscape photos in the hallway every morning. He is a master behind the lens and he taught me how to capture raw moments with intention and love. 

 

However, I first picked up a camera out of a piqued interest in video, during the early years on YouTube. I was inspired by my three older brothers who would spend hours every week making films with their friends, preserving memories and laughter, and staying up late into the nights editing videos. I wanted nothing more than to follow in their footsteps, so I did.

I loved it so much that I left my high school after freshman year to study film in the Performing and Visual Arts Program at Annapolis High School, and then continued my pursuit of film knowledge at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I graduated from in 2020, all the while building up a photography portfolio shooting graduation photos and family portraits.
